The Flyers May Bring Back The Ice Girls After Crowd Revolts
The word actually leaked out on this in August, but Philadelphia Flyers fans were unaware that their beloved Ice Girls had been disbanded this year -- until Monday. That's when the team played the Maple Leafs at the Wells Fargo Center in a preseason game, and brought out replacement Ice Guys. It did not go well.

But wait! Could this have prompted the Flyers top have a change of heart? According to Kyle Scott of Crossing Broad, the Flyers may be considering bringing back the Ice Girls. A tipster with connections to the Ice Girls contacted him:
… she said she was contacted by the flyers about possibly putting the team back together real quick…
The organization heard the fans and heard them loud and clear. Nothing official yet but I would say seeing the ice girls in 2014-15 is a distinct possibility.
People need to boo louder next game.
At any rate, the new Ice Guys are now objects of scorn and ridicule at Flyers games -- in danger of becoming like the San Francisco Giants' former anti-mascot Crazy Crab, which only existed for fans to boo him. Actually, it's a very Philly thing to do.
