Will Muschamp Produces Smokin’ Wife As Proof To SC Boosters That He Can Recruit
Will Muschamp was formerly introduced at a South Carolina press conference today, after university trustees approved his 5-year, $16 million contract this morning as the replacement for Steve Spurrier. The Gamecocks have gone a combined 10-15 over the past two seasons -- 1-7 in the SEC in 2015 -- and Muschamp promised today that he'll right the ship and compete for championships.
How? He'll be a great recruiter.
And to prove his point, Muschamp reeled off this quote:
"Gamecock nation if you don't think I can recruit, look at (my wife) and look at me. I can sell ice to an eskimo." pic.twitter.com/mogiLqJKiu

He has a point there. But is wooing a future spouse the same as wooing a talented offensive line? And what about game day coaching? If having an attractive blonde wife really made a difference, wouldn't Lane Kiffin still be a head coach and win the National Championship every season?
“That’s going to happen,” Muschamp said of competing for titles and winning championships, adding that he’s not going to try and do it the way Spurrier did it.
“There’s only one coach Spurrier,” he said. “I need to be Will Muschamp.”
Muschamp left his home field for the final time as head coach of Florida on Saturday night, following Alabama's 29-15 win over the Gators.
