As the Rio games start to wind down, many of our athletes have completed or are in the process of completing their events. Today we check out Emily Infeld, Track and Field runner who participated in the 10,000-meter event last week.
Emily Infeld comes to us from University Heights, Ohio, and graduated from Georgetown University back in 2012. There, she won the NCAA Indoor Championships over 3,000m. After college, Infeld earned a bronze medal (10,000 m) at the 2015 IAAF World Championships held in Beijing, and competed in her first ever Olympic games this year. Infeld runs for the Bowerman Track Club and the Nike Oregon Track Club throughout the year. When she’s not on the track, Infeld enjoys baking, reading, and working out with friends.
Infled placed 11th in last weeks 10,000-meter event, and completed her first Olympic journey. She kept her head held high, and for good reason. Many of our champions came up short this year, however there’s nothing to be ashamed of. These athletes have trained hard and competed with valor. Win or lose, our US competitors should feel accomplished and know how proud we are of their achievements.
Now that she’s technically in her off season, lets take a look at this gorgeous speedster.
