3 Best Prop Bets for Buccaneers vs Packers NFC Championship Game
The NFL’s Championship Round kicks off with a matchup between two of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers travel to Lambeau Field to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay is currently a 3-point favorite, per FanDuel Sportsbook.
If you’re looking to get a little more creative with your wagering this weekend, there are a ton ofNFL prop bets available on FanDuel Sportsbook. Here are three of the best prop bets for this Buccaneers-Packers clash.
3. Aaron Jones – Rushing Yards: Under 57.5 (-112)
The Buccaneers are the best rushing defense in the league, and it’s not even that close. Tampa Bay checked in at No. 1 by rush defense DVOA, surrendering a league-low 80.6 rushing yards per game. Believe it or not, that figure fell to a mind-boggling 58.4 across Vita Vea’s five appearances in 2020. With Vea potentially returning, this defense could be even more loaded than it was in Week 6 when it held Aaron Jones to 15 rushing yards on 10 carries.
2. Aaron Rodgers – Passing Yards: Over 283.5 (-112)
For all the reasons mentioned above, it’s hard to see the Packers’ running game doing much of anything on Sunday. That could lead to a lot of volume for Aaron Rodgers, which is a scary proposition for any NFL defense. Rodgers has recorded at least 283 passing yards in 11 of his 17 appearances this season, including last week. That game came against a Los Angeles Rams’ defense that many believed to be the best in the NFL. It didn’t matter, as Rodgers cruised to an absurdly efficient performance completing 23-of-36 passes for 296 and 2 TDs.
1. Tom Brady – Passing Yards: Over 285.5 (-112)
Brady had an up-and-down game against the New Orleans Saints, but he was arguably the hottest QB in the league before that. In his four games prior to that one, Brady averaged 379.5 passing yards per game. His 199-yard outing against the Saints can be attributed to the fact that New Orleans generates pressure at an elite rate, and Brady isn’t the same when under duress. Green Bay is not New Orleans. The Packers had the seventh-lowest pressure rate in the league (20.9%) in 2020. When throwing from a clean pocket, no one had more passing yards than Brady in 2020 (3,958). If the Packers can’t get to Brady, this secondary is going to get torched.
