Washington Wizards, Bradley Beal
The Bet: Under 29.5 Points U (-110)
Bradley Beal is a usage monster. With a 26.6% usage rate for his career, Beal had a career-best 34.4% as the lead playmaker for the Wizards, with John Wall sidelined.
However, Russell Westbrook has joined the team this season, and the two plan on sharing time on the floor.
When Westbrook is not on the floor, Beal’s usage skyrockets to 37%, averaging 29 points. Although in three games this season, Beal’s usage rate remains above 30%, expect this to fall, given Westbrook’s role and career 32.7% career usage rate.
Last season, Beal averaged 36 minutes, 30.5 points, four rebounds, and six assists. In one game without Westbrook this season, Beal scored 29 points, five rebounds and seven assists in 39 minutes.
Playing in 57 games last season reached the 30-point threshold 30 times.
Beal is projected for 25.1 points against the Bulls, which allowed 109.8 points per game while playing at a 99.7 possession per game pace.
With Beal sharing usage and scoring with Westbrook, and the potential for this game to get out of hand, depending on news surrounding the Bulls’ Lauri Markkanen, Beal is likely to reach the under (-110).
The Wizards are a 6.5-point home favorite on FanDuel Sportsbook, in a game with a 237 total, the highest on the slate.
Detroit Pistons, Blake Griffin
The Bet: Over 3.5 Assists O (+118)
Blake Griffin returns to action Tuesday after resting on the first game of a back-to-back. Second, to Derrick Rose, Griffin has a 20.45 assist rate and looks to be a primary distributor.
Although playing 18 games played last season, Griffin reached four assists in seven games.
At 26.1 assists per game, the Warriors had the third-highest opponent assist per game. In what could be a slower game, with Pistons playing at 97.6 and Warriors playing at 100.3 possessions per game pace last season, the teams will the ball will be distributed more.
Griffin is currently projected for 4.2 assists and should reach the over (+118) in a game where the Pistons are a 4.5-point home underdog against the Golden State Warriors, in a game currently at a 226.5 total on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Sacramento Kings, Buddy Hield
The Bet: Over 3.5 Rebounds O (+106)
Buddy Hield is off to a hot start this season for the Sacramento Kings. In two of his last three games, Hield had four rebounds, averaging 36 minutes, 17 points, 2.7 rebounds and two assists per game.
Playing in 72 games last season, Hield reached the four-rebound mark 49 times.
Hield is currently projected for 5.2 rebounds and should reach the over (+106) against a Denver Nuggets team on the second game of a back-to-back.
The Kings are a 2-point home underdog against the Denver Nuggets on FanDuel Sportsbook, in a matchup with a 224.5 total.
