Memphis Grizzlies, Grayson Allen
The Bet: Over 1.5 3-Points FG Made O (-180)
Grayson Allen has seen his minutes increase with De’Anthony Melton sitting out for health and safety precautions, playing more than 23 minutes in the first three games this season. With Ja Morant also sidelined with an ankle injury, Allen should see increased production alongside Tyus Jones.
This season, Allen has attempted 15 3-point shots and has reached the two made 3-point threshold only once. With increased usage and volume beyond the arch, Allen should hit the over (-180).
Allen projects for 2.4 made 3-pointers against the Celtics. The Grizzlies last season played at one of the fastest paces in the league, averaging 102.8 possessions per game and ranked ninth in points per game at 115.7. Shooting on average 33 3-point attempts last season and, in a game they will likely play from behind, look for the Grizzles to play catch up.
The Grizzlies are an 8-point road underdog on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Dallas Mavericks, Luka Doncic
The Bet: Over 8.5 Rebounds O (-120)
Luka Doncic is one of the NBA’s most dominant players and the Mavericks’ primary playmaker. Last season, Doncic averaged 33.6 minutes, 28 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in 61 games played with a 36.8% usage rate. He was able to record nine or more rebounds in 35 of those games.
Doncic projects for 10.5 rebounds and should reach the over (-120) in a game against the Hornets, who allowed the eighth-most rebounds to opponents at 46.5 per game last season.
The Mavericks are an 8-point home favorite against the Charlotte Hornets, currently with a 223.5 total on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Brooklyn Nets, Kyrie Irving
The Bet: Over 6.5 Assists O (-112)
Kyrie Irving should return to the court tonight after sitting out Monday’s matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies. He should have Kevin Durant on the floor as well, and the two should see the bulk of the Nets’ production.
Tonight’s matchup features two teams in the top 10 in terms of pace last season, with the Hawks ranked fifth at 103 possessions and the Nets ranked ninth at 101.4 possessions per game.
Playing in only 20 games last season, Irving averaged 32 minutes, 27 points, five rebounds and 6.4 assists per game. He recorded seven or more rebounds eight times.
Irving currently projects for 7.5 points and trends toward the over (-112) in a matchup against the Atlanta Hawks. Last season the Hawks allowed the 10th most opponent assist per game with 25.
The Nets are a 7-point home favorite against the Atlanta Hawks on FanDuel Sportsbook, a matchup with a 239.5 total, the highest on the slate.
Atlanta Hawks, Trae Young
The Bet: Over 3.5 Rebounds U (-134)
The Hawks’ leading playmaker, Trae Young, averaged 35 minutes, 29 points, four rebounds and nine assists last season with a 34.9% usage rate.
In 61 games played, he recorded four or more rebounds 36 times. He will face a Nets team who allowed the ninth-most rebounds to opponents last season, at 45.9 per game.
