Cleveland Cavaliers, Larry Nance Jr.
The Bet: Over 12.5 Points O (+100)
With Kevin Love out 3-4 weeks with a calf injury, Larry Nance will see increased usage on the floor. In four games this season, Nance has averaged 34 minutes, eight points, seven-rebound and four assists.
Playing in 56 games last season, Nance averaged 26 minutes, 10 points, seven rebounds and two assists per game. He reached the 13-point mark in 21 games. When Love is not on the floor, Nance has a 14.6% usage rate in 963 minutes played last season. With regular minutes and production, look for Nance to reach the over (+100).
Nance projects for 12.7 points against the Pacers. The Cavaliers last season averaged 98.7 possessions and 106.9 points per game and will face a Pacers team who has picked up the pace this season, averaging 102.7
The Cavaliers are an 8-point road underdog on FanDuel Sportsbook against the Indiana Pacers, in a game with a 219 total.
Houston Rockets, John Wall
The Bet: Over 6.5 Assists O (-120)
Tonight, John Wall makes his Houston Rocket’s debut, after fulfilling the league’s quarantine requirements. Tonight will also be his first game since the 2018-19 season, missing time with an Achilles injury.
Of the 32 games he played, he had 25 games with seven or more assists. In a game with the second-highest total on the slate, Wall should be a primary part of the Rockets’ production, alongside James Harden.
Wall projects for 7.5 assists and should reach the over (-120) in a game against the Kings, who allowed the 11th-most assists to opponents at 24.9 per game last season.
The Rockets are a 5.5-point home favorite against the Sacramento Kings, in a game currently at a 230.5 total on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Sacramento Kings, Buddy Hield
The Bet: Over 2.5 Assists O (-152)
Buddy Hield’s production has increased to start this season, averaging 36 minutes, 16 points, eight rebounds and two assists. He will face a Houston Rockets team who played at the third-highest pace last season, averaging 103.7 possessions per game and 25.3 opponents assists per game, the eighth highest in the league.
Playing in 72 games last season, Hield reached the three-assist mark in 38 games.
Hield projects for 3.7 assists and trends toward the over (-152) in a matchup against the Rockets. In a game that expects to be a pace up spot for the Kings, they will look to play catchup against the speedy Rockets.
The Kings are a 5.5-point road underdog against the Houston Rockets on FanDuel Sportsbook, in a matchup with a 239.5 total.
