Has Bradley Beal had enough in Washington?
Things have been terrible in Washington. The Wizards have this player you may have heard of before. He’s only leading the NBA in scoring, putting up over 35 points per game, five more points a night than any other player in the league. This player’s name is Bradley Beal, and he is in the middle of a complete tire-fire with the Wizards. Well, maybe him just going into the NBA record books can ease some of the despair. Nope, it’s not that kind of record. Beal, who was on the wrong end of a 124-106 score facing New Orleans, put up a ridiculous game-high 47 points. Great, right? Well… On Wednesday night Beal became the first player in league history to lose ten straight games when he scores at least 40 points.
You have to think that’s about as close to the last straw as it can be for Beal, and trade watch has to be wide-eyed. This 27-year-old superstar is being absolutely wasted, and he must be just itching to get out of there. Wasted in Washington is not the name of a 90s rock song or a stoner comedy movie; it’s what Bradley Beal is living right now. This guy is dropping 40 on the regular, and his Wizard teammates can’t help him out enough to pick up a W. What is happening? How is this possible? Beal had at least 30 points in all, but one game this month, he’s going to win the scoring title, and they’re going to lose 70 games. Lucky for the Wiz it’s a shortened season, so they’ll lose 50 rather than 70. You have to get this guy on a team that cares to win.
