Dallas Mavericks, Josh Richardson
The Bet: Over 2.5 Assists O (+140)
Last season, as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers, Josh Richardson averaged 2.9 assists per game. In the 55 games played, he reached the three-assist threshold 31 times.
To start the season, Richardson is averaging 29.3 minutes per game, 13.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, two assists and a 19.5% usage rate. As his usage and minutes continue to remain stable, he should reach the over (+140).
Richardson projects for 2.9 assists against the Heat. Last season, the Mavericks were league-average in assists per game with 24.7 and in pace, averaging 99.7 possessions per game.
The Mavericks are a 1.5-point home favorite on FanDuel Sportsbook against the Miami Heat.
Los Angeles Clippers, Paul George
The Bet: Over 5.5 Rebounds O (+114)
Paul George continues to be an essential piece to the Clippers’ offense, averaging 29 minutes, 21 points, 5.7 rebounds and four assists in 48 games last season. The Clippers also ranked third in rebounds per game with 47.7 and played at the eighth-highest pace with 101.5 possessions per game.
In three of the five games he has played this season, he has reached the six-rebound mark.
George projects for 6.2 assists in a game against the Utah Jazz. Although the Jazz allowed the fifth-least opponent rebounds per game at 42.7, George will be a primary playmaker for the Clippers and trends toward the over (+114).
The Clippers are a 3.5-point road favorite against the Jazz in a game currently at a 221.5 total on FanDuel Sportsbook.
