Denver Nuggets, Nikola Jokic
The Bet: Over 8.5 Assist O (+116)
Nikola Jokic continues to be a dominant presence on the court. In 12 games this season, he has averaged 35 minutes, scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Jokic has reached the nine-assist mark in nine games, including a season-high 18.
The trend continues from last season. In the 73 games Jokic played, he reached the nine-assist threshold 22 times.
Jokic currently projects for 9.9 assists against the Utah Jazz. Although the Jazz have allowed the fourth-least assists to opponents this season, with 22.4 on average, and play at a 99.4 possession per game pace, look for Jokic to trend toward the over (+116) and continue as one of the Nuggets lead playmakers.
The Nuggets are a 1.5-point home favorite on FanDuel Sportsbook against the Jazz in a game with a 219 total.
Sacramento Kings, Buddy Hield
The Bet: Under 17.5 Points U (-110)
Buddy Hield has reached the 18-point threshold only four times in the 13 games he has played this season. Although he continues to see an average of 34 minutes per game, most of the team’s production goes through De’Aaron Fox, who sees a 28.8% usage rate, compared to Hield’s 20.6% usage rate.
Last season, Hield reached the 18-point threshold 44 times of the 72 games he played.
The Pelicans are playing at the fifth-slowest pace in the league this season, averaging 97 possessions per game and allow 107.5 points to opponents.
Hield currently projects for 14.6 points against the Pelicans. In a slower pace matchup for the Kings, look for Hield to trend toward the under (-110).
The Kings are a 3-point home underdog against the Pelicans, in a game currently at a 226.5 total on FanDuel Sportsbook, the second-highest total of the day.
Dallas Mavericks, Kristaps Porzingis
The Bet: Over 7.5 Rebounds O (-115)
Kristaps Porzingis looks to return to form after recovering from knee surgery. After having his minutes watched in his season debut, Porzingis played 29 minutes, scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and one assist.
Last season, playing in 57 games, he reached the eight-rebound mark in 41 games.
Porzingis currently projects for 8.6 rebounds against the Chicago Bulls. This season, the Bulls are playing at the third-fastest pace in the league, averaging 104.6 possessions per game and allowed 121.6 points per game to opponents, the second-most in the league. In a matchup that looks to be high scoring, look for Porzingis to reach the over (-115).
The Mavericks are a 7-point home favorite against the Chicago Bulls on FanDuel Sportsbook, in a game with a 227 total, the highest of the day.
