Sacramento Kings, De’Aaron Fox
The Bet: Over 3.5 Rebounds O (+120)
De’Aaron Fox had a breakout season for the Kings in 2019, averaging 32 minutes, 21 points, 3.8 rebounds and seven assists per game. His usage rate increased from 24.5% to 29.8%, leading the team.
Of the 51 games played last season, Fox reached the four-rebound mark 23 times. He will face a Rockets team who played at the third-highest pace last season, at 103.7 possessions per game. The Rockets also allowed the most rebounds to opponents per game with 47.9 per game.
Fox projects for 4.2 rebounds against the Houston Rockets. In a pace-up spot for the Kings, and likely playing from behind, Fox trends toward the over (+120).
The Kings are a 4.5-point road underdog on FanDuel Sportsbook against the Houston Rockets, in the slate’s highest total at 233.5.
Atlanta Hawks, Clint Capela
The Bet: Over 9.5 Points O (+102)
Clint Capela has been dealing with Achilles soreness but played 30 minutes yesterday in the Hawks 114-96 win over the Brooklyn nets. In the three games this season, he has averaged 23 minutes, nine points, ten rebounds and two assists.
Last season, as a member of the Houston Rockets and Atlanta Hawks, Capela reached the 10-point mark 33 times out of the 39 games he played.
At the fifth-highest pace last season, the Hawks averaged 103 possessions per game and allowed the most points to opponents at 119.7. Capela will face a Cleveland Cavaliers team who allowed the ninth-most points to opponents at 114.8 per game, averaging 98.6 possessions per game.
Capela projects for 11.1 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers. In a matchup between two teams ranked in the top-10 opponents’ points per game, expect a close, high-scoring game and Capela hitting the over (+102),
The Hawks are a 7-point home favorite against the Cavaliers, in a game currently at a 231.5 total on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Charlotte Hornets, Gordon Hayward
The Bet: Under 4.5 Assists U (-115)
Gordon Hayward has stepped into a leadership role with the Charlotte Hornets, averaging 32 minutes, 18 points, five rebounds, five assists and a 24.5% usage rate in five games played.
As a member of the Boston Celtics last season, Hayward averaged 33.5 minutes, 17.5 points, six rebounds and four assists per game. In the 52 games he played, Hawayrd reached the five-assist mark 20 times.
Hayward currently projects for 3.4 assists tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers, last season, allowed the fourth-least opponent assists per game, at 22.8 per game. In a game that looks to have blowout risk potential, Hayward trends toward the under (-115)
The Hornets are a 9.5-point road underdog against the 76ers in a game currently at a 216 total on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Oklahoma City Thunder, Al Horford
The Bet: Under 13.5 Points U (+100)
Al Horford is averaging 27.3 minutes, 10 points, eight rebounds and three assists in his three games with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He has the second-lowest usage rate on the team, at 13.8%, and has reached the 14-point mark only once, in a 113-80 win against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Playing for the Philadelphia 76ers last season, Horford averaged 30 minutes, 12 points, seven rebounds and four assists in 67 games, reaching the 14-point mark 23 times.
Horford currently projects for 11 points against the Orlando Magic. The Magic have started the season on a hot streak, posting a 4-1 record and ranking ninth in points per game at 114.6. They are also playing at the fourth-highest pace this season, averaging 104.2 possessions per game.
With the majority of the Thunder’s production going though Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Darius Bazley, look for Horford to hit the under (+100)
The Thunder are a 7.5-point road underdog against the Magic in a game currently at a 218.5 total on FanDuel Sportsbook.
