Portland Trailblazers, Jusuf Nurkic
The Bet: Over 2.5 Assists O (-130)
In seven games this season, Portland Trailblazers center Jusuf Nurkic has averaged 3.3 assists per game, reaching the three-assist mark in five games. Sidelined by leg injury last season, Nurkic played in 13 games last season, reaching the three-assist mark 11 times.
Nurkic currently projects for 3.4 assists against the Sacramento Kings. The Kings rank second in the league in opponent assist per game, allowing 24.6 on average. In what looks to be a high scoring matchup, with the Kings and Trailblazers ranking in the top five in opponent points per game, look for Nurkic to trend toward the over (-130).
The Trailblazers are a 6-point road favorite on FanDuel Sportsbook against the Kings in the slate’s highest total at 234.5.
Charlotte Hornets, LaMelo Ball
The Bet: Under 5.5 Rebounds U (+118)
Rookie LaMelo Ball has had a breakout season in nine games for the Charlotte Hornets. He has averaged 24 minutes, 11 points, 5.7 rebounds, and five assists coming off the bench.
He has reached the six-rebound mark in four games this season.
The Hornets will face an Atlanta Hawks team playing at a league-average pace this season at 101.1 possessions per game and allow 44.5 opponent rebounds per game.
Ball projects for 4.4 rebounds against the Atlanta Hawks. With the Hornets playing on the second leg of a back-to-back and Ball sharing usage with Devonte’ Graham and Terry Rozier, look for Ball to trend toward the under (+118) against a rested Atlanta Hawks rotation.
The Hornets are a 5-point home underdog against the Hawks in a game currently at a 230 total on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Portland Trailblazers, CJ McCollum
The Bet: Over 4.5 Assists O (+108)
CJ McCollum has established himself as one of Portland’s primary playmakers alongside Damian Lillard. This season, McCollum has averaged 34.5 minutes, 26.8 points, four rebounds and 5.3 assists. He is second on the team in usage rate, at 29.1%.
The five-assist mark three times this season and reached this threshold 31 times in the 70 games he played last season.
McCollum currently projects for 5.4 assists against the Sacramento Kings. Like Nurkic, McCollum faces a Kings team who allow the second most assist per game. With the Trailblazer playing at the eighth-highest pace in the league and McCollum having a secure role in minutes and production, look for him to reach the over (+108).
