Jimmy Butler Ruled Out Again in Matchup Against Milwaukee
December 30Michael ArinzeSportsGrid
Jimmy Butler has been ruled out for the second game in consecutive nights against the Milwaukee Bucks. Butler is battling an ankle injury he picked up last Friday against the Pelicans. With Butler out of the lineup, Milwaukee didn’t exactly go easy on Miami as they pounded the reigning Eastern Conference Champions, 144-97.
Moe Harkless got the start in place of Butler, but he finished with just 4 minutes of playing time on the court.
Early money seems to be siding with Miami as the market expects the Heat to respond after their 47-point shellacking on their home court. The total opened at 227.5 and has seen a slight push up to 228.5. Bettors seem to be unsure as to how to approach this matchup, given that it’s the second leg of a back-to-back at the same venue.
Some thought Milwaukee would look to rest some players of their own, but that doesn’t look to be the case as there are no key names listed on their injury report. The Bucks have alternated wins and losses thus far this and win tonight would give them their first winning streak of the season.
