LeBron James still moves up the odds board even in a loss against a guy whose team has the second choice in the NBA MVP futures market. LeBron goes from 5-1 to +350 even after losing to Joel Embiid and the 76ers on Wednesday night. The King just keeps rocketing higher and higher above the rest of the field in the MVP futures market. It’s going to get to a point where the value could be all gone, and we’re going to have to look elsewhere for MVP candidates. At this rate, we may have to call the race 20 games in and just hand LBJ the MVP at the All-Star break. He’s been moving up the board all week. He was +800 on Monday, then moved to +500, and now with the least valuable this season sitting at +350. At this rate, you’re better off waiting around to see if either he stumbles a bit or another contender emerges so LeBron can get some value back for a more worthy bet for him to win the league’s most valuable player award.
