Pistons Vs. Hawks Preview
The Pistons travel to Atlanta to take on the Hawks, who have just two wins in their last eight games. Trae Young’s scoring numbers are well below his production last year when he averaged 29.6 points per game. This season, he’s only averaging 22.9 points per game, and we could be getting a discount tonight with his points prop set at 24.5.
In the first four games this season, Young was averaging over 15 free throw attempts per game and averaging roughly 30 points per game. Then, in six of Atlanta’s next seven games, Young didn’t attempt more than six free throws per game. Recently, Young has been able to get back to the free-throw line with double-digit attempts in his last two games. Tonight’s game sets up as a good spot to play his points total over.
Another wager that should get some consideration is playing this game over the total. Atlanta’s games have gone under the total nine consecutive times coming into tonight’s game, and this could be the perfect time to jump off the bandwagon.
Detriot is 5-1 to the over on the road, and at 221, this is the lowest total for the Hawks in this calendar year. This will be the second meeting between these two teams. They last played on December 28th, and the total sailed over by a margin of 24.5 points.
Expect a similar result tonight.
