The Warriors have Overachieved Despite the Loss of Klay Thompson
The Golden State Warriors have surprised this season. They go and beat the Clippers and come back from a huge deficit to win that game last Friday night. Steph Curry went off again in that game, and he’s got this team at a respectable 6-5.
They’re definitely not as bad as everybody thought they were going to be. It’s interesting to see who they’re playing with. They have obviously Draymond and Steph, the usual suspects, but now they have Andrew Wiggins on this team and rookie James Wiseman. In the draft, they pick up this big seven-footer from Memphis to play center for them and pick up Kelly Oubre from the Suns. Then you add existing pieces like Kevon Looney and Mychal Mulder, and Brad Wanamaker from the Celtics.
Can you imagine if they had a Klay Thompson? What a shame that that guy tore his Achilles. If that guy had any luck at all, can you imagine what he’s been through? He blows out his knee, then trains his ass off in physical therapy for almost a year. He then comes back ready to rock and roll, lock and load, he’s scrimmaging and, and tears, his Achilles, and he’s done for another year. That is just insane. Who knows where this team could be if they him with this group.
