Trey Burke will miss Mavericks game against Nuggets on Thursday
Trey Burke will miss at least the Mavericks Thursday night game against the Nuggets with an undisclosed illness. No word if Burke will miss any more time, but the fact he’s already been ruled out for tomorrow night suggests he could miss more than one game.
Burke has been effective in limited minutes for Dallas this season. The veteran point guard has put up 7.1 points, including 1.1 three-pointers per game in just under 18 minutes a night. Jalen Brunson should see the most significant uptick in minutes, which could improve his rather impressive 11.7 points in only 19 minutes per game so far this season. Rookie point guard Tyrell Terry could also get a look and is worthwhile throwing on the watch list.
Neither guard holds a whole lot of value right now, but Brunson could provide some scoring punch given the playing time. The Mavericks guard is available in over 90 percent of fantasy leagues.
