Utah Jazz vs. Denver Nuggets News and Notes
Two of the top Western Conference teams square off for a Sunday afternoon matchup in a rematch of a 109-105 Jazz win on Jan. 17.
The Jazz, currently first in the West, are on a five-game win streak, coming off a Friday 120-101 win against the Dallas Mavericks. Bojan Bogdanovic led the team in scoring with 32 points, playing 32 minutes. Jordan Clarkson, who continues to produce off the bench, played 30 minutes, scoring 18 points with six rebounds and one assist.
Denver looks to get back on the right track after snapping a four-game win streak with a 119-109 loss to the San Antonio Spurs Friday night. Nikola Jokic led the team in scoring with 35 points, playing 39 minutes, also recording 10 rebounds and five assists. Jamal Murray, Gary Harris and Will Barton also saw minutes in the 30s.
Keep an eye on the injury report. Jamal Murray is considered questionable with a shoulder injury; Donovan Mitchell is also questionable because of a concussion and Derrick Favors is questionable with a back injury. Expect more minutes for Joe Ingles, who should enter the starting lineup if Mitchell cannot play. If Derrick Favors misses Sunday’s game, expect more production for Rudy Gobert and Royce O’Neale.
