Buccaneers’ Antonio Brown is doubtful for Super Bowl vs. Chiefs
In a bit of a surprising move, the Buccaneers have listed Antonio Brown as doubtful on the injury report. It was already stated that Brown would not take part in any practices this week, but it also seemed like he was trending in the right direction when reports surfaced he was expected to play in the big game. One thing to keep in mind here is the first injury report before players return for media week can look very different in a week to ten days. Much can change ahead of the Super Bowl, and Brown has a week and change to heal up. The former Steeler has been dealing with this knee issue for a while and was forced out of the Bucs Divisional playoff game against the Saints three weeks ago.
If the 32-year-old can’t go, a heavier target load should fall on Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. The player with the most to gain seems Scotty Miller, who would line up in the slot in Brown’s place. If Miller gets the start, he could be a sneaky play being a personal favorite of Tom Brady, and his price tag is worth keeping an eye on at FanDuel DFS.
