Minnesota Viking’s offensive coordinator, Gary Kubiak, has announced his retirement from the NFL. Kubiak was a part of four Super Bowl-winning teams, most recently as Head Coach of the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50.
Kubiak is leaving behind a team loaded with offensive weapons. Dalvin Cook was the second-leading rusher in the NFL and only the third running back since 2016 to eclipse 300 touches in a season. Adam Thielen was a touchdown hog this season, setting a career-high with 14. While Justin Jefferson emerged as a superstar in the making, breaking the rookie record for receiving yards in a season in the Super Bowl era.
Considering the pieces in place, this should be an easy vacancy to fill.
