Pacers Guard Caris LeVert Undergoes Successful Surgery to Remove Kidney Mass

The NBA community got some good news today as Pacers guard Caris LeVert underwent surgery on Monday to remove a small mass on his kidney. The mass was discovered as part of a routine physical after LeVert was part of a three-team blockbuster trade involving the Brooklyn Nets and Houston Rockets.
Indiana could have voided the trade but received positive feedback from their doctors on LeVert’s ability to make a full recovery. The Pacers have always had an eye for LeVert after selecting him in the 2016 draft and trading him to the Nets in exchange for Thaddeus Young.
Doctors expect LeVert to make a full recovery though there is no timetable on his return to basketball activities at this time.
LeVert has averaged over 18 points per game over the last two seasons, and he’s viewed as the heir apparent to Victor Oladipo at the shooting guard position.
Indiana is 3-3 since the trade and trails the Bucks by just a half-game in the Central Division. They’ll be back in action tomorrow when they travel to Charlotte to take on the Hornets.
FanDuel has their odds to win the division at +600 and +5500 to win the NBA title.
