3 Best Prop Bets for Rams vs Packers NFC Divisional Round Game
Fresh off their first-round bye, the Green Bay Packers will play host to the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round of the 2020-21 NFL Playoffs. The Packers are the current favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook, with the line set at a 6.5-point spread.
Rams vs Packers Prop Bets
3. Aaron Jones – Receiving Yards: Over 23.5 (-118)
With Jalen Ramsey and the Rams top-ranked secondary shadowing Davante Adams and these wide receivers, you might want to anticipate where Aaron Rodges may throw the football instead. Tight end Robert Tonyan could be one option, but Aaron Jones receiving yards total is an easier mark to hit. Los Angeles boasts one of the top run defenses in the league as well, but they are actually pretty susceptible against running backs when it comes to receiving yards (14th in NFL). Jones is coming off a 4 catch for 43 receiving yards game through the air, and this could be a game that the Packers need to dump the ball to their rushers more often than usual.
2. Robert Tonyan – Total Receptions: Over 2.5 (-172)
The payout isn’t tremendous here, but this prop could still be a great option. As mentioned above, Green Bay may have to rely on other positions in their offense more heavily than usual, being that the Rams are so good against the wide receiver position. Aside from Jones, a clear benefactor might be Robert Tonyan. His receptions total is low based on his last two games, but the Packers didn’t really need the budding tight end against the Tennessee Titans and Chicago Bears because of their receiver play. This game should be different. Tonyan had three or more receptions from Week 10 through 15 (six straight games before the final two). He has been a huge part of this offense all season, and three catches is a real bargain here.
1. Cam Akers – Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+110)
The Rams’ rookie running back Cam Akers has a touchdown in three of his last six games played. He has also had 20-plus carries in four of his last five starts with a snap share over 60 percent during that span. It’s not just Akers general usage that is appealing though. He also had five or more red zone carries in four of the last five outings, and the Packers are weaker against the run (ranking 13th in rush yards allowed per game this season compared to seventh in pass yards per game). If you really want to make things interesting, you can also play Akers to score the first TD of the game (+700).
