Aaron Rodgers Leads Big Shakeup in NFL MVP Odds
The 2020 NFL MVP conversation continues to undergo some major changes as the season rolls on.
FanDuel Sportsbook has had Patrick Mahomes as the MVP favorite for a while now, and that hasn't changed a bit. But the moves going on behind him have been very interesting.
Patrick Mahomes MVP Odds
Mahomes is absolutely running away with the NFL MVP award, at least according to the betting odds. He has jumped to take a commanding lead as a -400 favorite after shredding Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for 462 yards and 3 touchdowns on Sunday.
That's an improvement from -125 last week and just +175 the week before.
Aaron Rodgers MVP Odds
The other exciting shift this week involves Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers ranked third in the running last week, trailing Mahomes and Russell Wilson.
Rodgers just lit up the Chicago Bears for 4 touchdowns and 0 interceptions (bringing his season totals to a league-leading 33 TDs and just 4 interceptions) on Sunday Night Football, and he's jumped past Wilson into second place with +600 odds.
Wilson has dropped down to third at +750, and the only other player with odds better than even +4000 is Ben Roethlisberger (+2000).
Rodgers moving ahead of Wilson is big, but at this point it looks like the MVP award is Mahomes' to lose.
