Lamar Jackson Gets First Playoff Win
Lamar Jackson got the Ravens on the scoreboard with a 48-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Tennessee looked like they were in control of the game before Jackson broke the pocket and scampered across the goal line. This was one of the few occasions this season that Tennessee could get sustained pressure on the opposing quarterback.
If you’re a Ravens fan, you have to be pleased with the character they showed in battling back and winning the game after falling behind early on. The thoughts coming into this game were that Jackson couldn’t win a playoff game or that the Ravens aren’t built to win a game that they were trailing in. Well, those theories can now be put to rest. Baltimore’s defense is playing at a high level right now, and Jackson is playing with the same fervor as he did earlier this season. Sure he only threw for 179 yards with a touchdown and completed 17-of-24 passes; his biggest strength is that he’s the best athlete on the field.
Lamar Jackson had 16 carries and rushed for 136 yards on the day. He ran for more yards than the entire Tennessee offense. That essentially is what Lamar Jackson can do on any given Sunday. And that is what makes him so special.
