Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns Offer Value in Week 17
The AFC playoff race is going to be really intriguing on Sunday. You have four teams that all deserve to be in the playoffs, way more than anybody in the NFC East does because they all have 10 wins. The biggest thing in figuring this thing out is finding out who is playing and who is not. That’s always the most challenging angle when trying to wager Week 17 of the NFL.
So, Ben Roethlisberger is out for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and they will rest a bunch of other players as well. What does that mean for their game against Cleveland? Wacky things can happen in the NFL, but it looks like the Browns should win that game.
Then you have Buffalo in Miami. That line went from -4.5 to -5.5, and now it’s the Bills -3. That tells you that a lot of oddsmakers are kind of factoring in that Buffalo may play Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs and company a series or two, maybe it’s a quarter or two, but there’s no reason to throw them out there for four quarters.
Ben Roethlisberger and his Steelers aren’t playing. So, you know, these games would be a lot juicer if you knew everybody was going to give it the full tilt 100% action, but that’s not the case. When in doubt, you got to go with the desperate teams, the teams that need it more. In the AFC, those teams are the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins.
