What to Watch For
Lots of new additions to the Denver team this season, most notably head coach Vic Fangio and QB Joe Flacco. Flacco will be tasked to improve a team that was No. 19 in the league in passing offense last year. They were No. 24 in the league last year with under 21 points per game.
The Oakland Raiders have ended the Antonio Brown saga.

Need to Improve:
Jon Gruden will look to bounce back from a 4-12 last season that put the Raiders in the bottom of the AFC West. Another team with plenty of new faces that just need to gel properly. We’ll have our eyes on rookie RB Josh Jacobs who’ll be asked to do a lot from Day 1. They were No. 25 in the league last year in rushing offense.
Oakland was No. 32 in the league last year in the percentage of run plays against. The Raiders defense has to get better, right?
Joe Flacco is projected to finish with 191 passing yards on 15 completions. He averages 1.4 TDs per sim and just 0.2 INTs per.
Derek Carr is projected to finish with 225 passing yards on 18 completions, averaging 1.3 TDs and 0.5 INTs per sim.
Denver to win.
Odds indicate there’s a 56 percent chance the Broncos win this game on the road. That happens in 62-plus percent of simulations, suggesting some added value on the pick. The average score in sims is 22-18, in favor of Denver.
Denver is 2-0-2 against the spread (ATS) in its last four season openers.
