Play the Under on Philip Rivers’ Passing Yards Prop?
Phillip Rivers faces a total of 263 passing yards on his player props line this week against the Bills. Head over to FanDuel’s Sportsbook, where the odds sit at (-112) for the Colts quarterback. Rivers has thrown for more than 263 yards just once over his past four games. The under looks like the play here, in no small part because of running back Jonathan Taylor. From a game script standpoint, when you’re looking at this contest, the Colts are going to want to run the football a lot and be aggressive.
The Bills secondary is also very good. You don’t want Phillip Rivers making mistakes; you want him to be controlled a little bit. You don’t want him taking too many shots downfield because that Buffalo secondary will make you pay. Feeding Taylor rather than throwing a ton also keeps Josh Allen off the field.
Another reason to lean toward the under on this prop is keeping in mind who Philip Rivers is. He’s an older quarterback playing his home games in a dome and playing in the AFC South. He has been playing most of his career in California, and now you’re going to go to Buffalo in January in 30-degree weather. Remember back in the day, Dan Marino, going in January to Buffalo and struggling in playoff games. And Phillip Rivers is no Dan Marino.
