Super Bowl Odds Update Continues to Heavily Favor No. 1 Seeds Heading into Divisional Round
The first round of the NFL Playoffs is officially behind us, and Wild Card Weekend brought no shortage of surprises. The NFL Playoff picture has now been narrowed down to eight teams, and this weekend’s Divisional Round we will finally see the No. 1 seeds in each conference take the field following their first-round byes last week.
Those top seeds, the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC and Green Bay Packers in the NFC, also remain the two clear-cut favorites to win the Super Bowl according to odds from FanDuel Sportsbook.
The Chiefs will host the Cleveland Browns after the No. 6 seed browns upset the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night. Kansas City has opened as a 10-point favorite in that matchup, making them the Divisional Round’s biggest favorite by a significant margin.
The Packers’ first playoff matchup will be at home against the Los Angeles Rams. Green Bay is a 7-point favorite.
The weekend’s two other matchups are projected to be much closer, with the Buffalo Bills favored by 2.5 points at home against the Baltimore Ravens and New Orleans Saints favored by 3 at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Chiefs’ +200 odds to win the Super Bowl are the best among the remaining teams, and the Packers sit firmly in second place at +380. After that things get closer, with the Saints (+550), Bills (+600), Ravens (+800) and Bucs (+850) all getting some love.
The Rams (+2200) and Browns (+2800) are looking like complete afterthoughts.
