Three strong plays for the Under in Week 17 of the NFL
We’re keying in on some outstanding plays on a few NFL totals for Week 17.
The under is the play in the Dallas vs. New York Giants game. The total is simply a case of overreaction based on the first time they met this season. When they played in Week 5, it was just a wild shootout. They combined for 71 points in the Cowboys’ 37-34 win. There’s no way that happens again. This game is too important for both teams as Dallas and New York are still in the hunt for the NFC East division crown. The Giants’ defense is just too good to allow almost 40 points again, and their offense isn’t good enough to score 34 again.
The Raiders game is looking like a great time to rock the under as well. Las Vegas looked great with the over last week, which sets up the under in Denver nicely this week. The Broncos aren’t going to put up a lot of points. Unless you play that back and forth style with Vegas, that’s the only way they’re going to exploit that defense, and Denver doesn’t look like they can do that.
How about Carolina and New Orleans? The Saints went bonkers last week and went over the total on their own. Usually, that creates an overreaction in the following week. You also have to remember just how good this their defense is. They’ve been so dominant, and that’s really the way New Orleans has been able to win football games. Carolina’s offense is capable of scoring, but they’re just not consistent, and that’s the problem with the Panthers. They aren’t going to be able to put up points against the Saints in the second meeting of the season. Last year Carolina put up around 30 on them in their first game, but the Saints shut them down in the second meeting. That will be the case on Sunday, where the total of 49 at FanDuel’s Sportsbook is looking like a strong play.
