Tyler Lockett Knee Injury Doesn’t Sound Promising
Tyler Lockett has been an ironman for the Seattle Seahawks, playing a full 16-game season in five of his six years in the NFL. In fact, he only has one career missed game, which came all the way back in 2016.
But it looks like his ironman streak could be in jeopardy this week. Reportedly dealing with a knee sprain that’s causing discomfort and swelling, Lockett has now missed back-to-back practices. With the Seahawks taking on the division-rival Arizona Cardinals on Thursday Night, Lockett doesn’t have much time left to get healthy for this one.
There’s nothing concrete as to his availability for this week quite yet, so it’ll be crucial to monitor the team’s Wednesday practice report.
Not having Lockett out there would be a huge blow to the Seahawks’ offense. The last time they faced the Cardinals, star CB Patrick Peterson essentially erased DK Metcalf, allowing Lockett to put up monster numbers.
He finished that Week 8 game with 20 targets for 15 receptions and 200 receiving yards, scoring 3 TDs as well.
You can’t replace that kind of production.
Even with Lockett’s status up in the air, FanDuel Sportsbook lists Seattle as a 3.5-point favorite over Arizona in Week 11.
