Will the Chicago Bears move on from Mitch Trubisky?
There are a lot of questions about the future of the Chicago Bears. It doesn’t seem likely they will run it back with Mitch Trubisky. He is a restricted free agent, so they can theoretically hold the right of refusal with his deal this year, but they can also let him go and not have any dead cap money. It looks like the only way Matt Nagy was able to keep his job was because he told the ownership group that they were moving on from Trubisky.
So now it could mean they try and draft a quarterback or trade for Drew Lock, sign Jameis Winston, or try and do the Ryan Fitzpatrick thing. It just seems fitting Fitzpatrick should do a stint with the Bears since he’s done a tour with every other team that doesn’t have a franchise quarterback. It feels like he should go and do his year of service with the Chicago Bears. Whether that happens or not, it just seems the probability that Mitchell Trubisky is back with the team is pretty low.
