Coffee? Tea? Lap Dances? Rugby Players Get Unusual Perk On Air New Zealand
Thank you for flying Air New Zealand -- please return your All Blacks rugby player to his full upright and locked position.
It's very rare that I get to use the term "boozy flight" here, so imagine my delight at this news item. Some members of an off-duty Air New Zealand flight crew have been reprimanded for "straddling" and otherwise cozying up to members of the New Zealand All Blacks rugby team on a flight from Los Angeles to New Zealand recently.
Among the reported incidents was one female giving a lap dance to All Blacks player Israel Dagg.
According to the source, one of the off-duty crew became drunk and abused the operating cabin crew, while a second - a young woman - was drunk and gave Dagg a lap dance. "Or at least she was straddling him [Dagg] in his seat."
Dagg's manager, Dean Hegan, said he had looked into the claims but there was "nothing to it".
It was probably a makeshift bachelor's party -- when they landed, Dagg married his girlfriend, Daisy Aitken.
