NASCAR CEO Brian France, Several Drivers Endorse Trump
Donald Trump has even managed to split NACSCAR. Here we are at Valdosta State earlier today, where Trump announced at a rally that NASCAR chairman Brian France is endorsing him. Why NASCAR needs to endorse any political candidate is not clear, so I guess this is a personal endorsement?
Also in Trump's pit crew are drivers Chase Elliott, Bill Elliot, Ryan Newman, and David Ragan. Yahoo Sports:
"I've known Donald for over 20 years," France said at a rally in Valdosta, Ga. "I'm going to tell you one thing: you know about his winning and success. He wins with his family. Any of his children, you'd be proud to have in your family. That's how I judge a winner."
But NASCAR Vice President David Higdon told Yahoo that France's endorsement was a "Private personal decision by Brian," and that the circuit has not officially endorsed anyone. Although when your CEO appears at a rally backed by four former and current drivers, that sure looks like a NASCAR endorsement to me.
NASCAR + several drivers supporting Trump seems about right - they spend the majority of their time going in circles with frequent accidents
