SportsGrid President Among the First to make New Jersey sports betting history
Louis M. Maione was among the first to make a legal sports bet at New Jersey's Monmouth Park
On Thursday morning, sports betting history was made in New Jersey, and the President of SportsGrid, Louis M. Maione, was there right near the front of line to be among the very first to make an official wager. Maione, a highly successful sports media visionary from N.J., made the third legal sports bet ever in his home state when he wagered 100 dollars on his beloved New York Yankees at Monmouth Park's William Hill Sports Bar Thursday morning. He then officially became a winner later that night, as the Yanks edged the Rays 4 to 3.
