I Can’t Wait For The Mayweather-McGregor Fight … To Be Over

We’re about to head into round 4 of the Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor Press Conference World Tour (London, ), and by our scorecard both fighters are losing. They’ve managed to do the near impossible — take what should have been a fun, somewhat intriguing series of pre-fight meetings and made them ugly spectacles of profanity, greed and excess.

The three meetings so far have escalated the ugliness to the point that they’re now unwatchable for anyone with an IQ above the average temperature in De Moines. McGregor has been charged with racism. Floyd is a profanity machines, and on Thursday in Brooklyn threw money over McGregor and the stage (all $1 bills).

UPDATE: Mayweather used an anti-gay slur to describe McGregor at today’s press conference at Wembley Stadium in London. That’s the way to represent the U.S., Floyd.

No illusions here — both fighters realize that the more they trash talk, the more money that they’re putting in their pockets — Showtime is charging $100 to see this on Pay-Per-View, after all. But what makes this different than a WWE event is that it all seems unscripted. Even this …

My God, Mayweather is even wearing lifts.
