Alex Ovechkin Spent 18 Innings At A Baseball Game Last Night And Doesn't Look Happy About It
When a Russian-born NHL player looks as cold and miserable as this, you know it was a special baseball game. Alex Ovechkin of the Capitals thought he'd check in on the NLDS on Saturday, and got more than he bargained for -- nine innings more. The Giants beat the Nationals 2-1 in 18 innings to take a 2-0 series lead, and the Internet responded. It was the longest game in MLB postseason history. It may have been the longest game in cricket history. Not sure.

Brandon Belt's homer in the top of the 18th decided it, as San Francisco won its 10th straight postseason game. Time? The game only took 6 hours, 23 minutes.
