Andre Ethier Goes Off On Don Mattingly In Game 5 Dugout (VIDEO)
You would think Andre Ethier would be in a better mood early in the Dodgers' game 5 NLDS deciding game against the Mets. In the bottom of the first inning he had an RBI bloop single, and in the top of the second, he had a great sliding catch off the bat of Michael Conforto. But then in the bottom of the third he came up to the plate with Justin Turner on second and no ones. Ethier lined out to left, returned to the dugout and this happened:
No one in the booth could figure out what the argument was about - the best guess was not having a productive at-bat to at least move Turner over a base - but the strange thing is when Sam Ryan interviewed Mattingly, she didn't bring it up. Turns out the interview was recorded before the dust up, which brings up the next question: how useful are those interviews?
Yup. GM 5 do or die. It's about you Ethier.

And just to make sure we didn't forget his third inning at-bat, Ethier came to the plate in the fifth inning with Turner at second and popped out. Perhaps Ethier and Mattingly will talk about the former's off-season travel plans after the game if the Mets win.
