Big Things Happening On The Allegheny: Pirates Up 3-0, And PNC Park Is Rockin’

  • Rick Chandler

Dusty Baker must be wondering: “When are WE going to get a giant duck?” Will this be the second year in a row that the Reds are knocked off by a “team of destiny”? Last year it was the Giants who eliminated the Reds in the playoffs, after being down in the five-game series 2-0 no less. Now they collide with the Pirates, who in the wild card game tonight got back-to-back solo homers from Marlon Byrd and Russell Martin to take a 2-0 lead. They were the first playoff homers in Pittsburgh since 1992, which is the last time the Pirates reached the post-season.

Long way to go, of course … but I love giant rubber duck photos.

Did PNC Park crowd rattle Johnny Cueto here?
