Brian Wilson Set Adrift By Dodgers — Is This The End Of The Beard?

The Dodgers released reliever Brian Wilson today, designating him for assignment, apparently spooked by his many hairstyles, powerful beard magic and brittle elbow construction. Is this the end for Captain Weirdness?
The Dodgers have 10 days to trade or release Wilson. Some team, perhaps the Rockies or Rays, should be in the market for a once-great reliever who wants to prove himself again. It would be no-lose, for the right price. But what do I know?
Wilson rose to glory, of course, with the San Francisco Giants, where he won two World Series rings. After two seasons with LA, in which he was often injured and always strange, the new regime dumped him today. The problem is that the Dodgers are still on the hook for Wilson's $10 million salary (as they are also with Matt Kemp's $32 million tab).
