Curt Schilling Says He’ll Run For Senate In 2018 Vs. Elizabeth Warren
... pending his wife's approval.
Hmm. One would think that before making an announcement like that, one would first check with the wife? But this is Schilling World, which is ruled by Schilling Logic, and thus his quote today makes perfect sense:
"I've made my decision," Schilling said, according to Ted Nesi of WPRI. "I'm going to run. But — but — I haven't talked to Shonda, my wife."
It also makes perfect sense in Schilling World to throw in your lot with Donald Trump at this particular time, when Trump is at his lowest point in the polls so far, and on a daily basis pouring gasoline onto the tire fire that is his campaign in October.
Another impeccable bit of timing -- just last week, Schilling made headlines by saying in a TV interview that there was nothing wrong with Trump eyeing a 10-year-old girl and remarking that he'd "be dating her in 10 years."
During the interview on Fox Business News, Schilling said that he had three children, and that his son was "gorgeous."
So, OK. Schilling would be potentially running against Elizabeth Warren in Massachusetts. Warren became that state's first female Senator in 2012, when she beat Republican incumbent Scott Brown. She was assigned to the Senate Special Committee on Aging; the Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee; and the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee. She's a popular consumer advocate who, reported CNN, was on Hillary Clinton's five-person short list for vice president.
Schilling could be called a firebrand conservative, if by firebrand you mean "says insane things on Twitter." He was fired by ESPN for not following company guidelines on social media interactions.
In our proudest moment, SportsGrid was blocked on Schilling's Twitter feed in 2014.
You are blocked from following @gehrig38 and viewing @gehrig38's Tweets.
But fortunately @gehrig38 isn't very smart. His Twitter feed today is the usual rants against transgender people, liberals, Hillary Clinton and bat flippers. Oh, and vegans:
"Veganism is the sad result of a morally corrupt mind, reconsider your life"

My favorite Curt Schilling tweet is this: when he tried to type "loophole", and things went horribly wrong.
There is NO GUNSHOW POOPHOLE you idiot! Stop making shit up! Lying her ass off

Schilling's excuse was that he was "trying to type too fast." Hahaha.
See you in two years, Curt! Have fun, America!
