D.C. Metro Shuts Down During NLDS Game 5, Strands Fans
The plight of the D.C. sports fan was well documented Thursday night. Not only did the Washington Nationals playoff hopes end after falling short of a comeback against the Dodgers in Game 5 of the NLDS, but WMATA shut the Metro down before the game even ended.

The Nationals' playoff run ended in devastating fashion, falling 4-3 to the Dodgers after Washington managed to make it a one-run game in the seventh inning. Nationals fans already have a history of postseason failure to be frustrated with. So it's even more understandable that fans felt a little betrayed by their public transportation system.

Godspeed to any Metro workers dealing with a train full of these postseason success deprived fans today.
