Did You Celebrate The Giants World Series Win By Making A Baby? CSN Would Like To Talk To You
When a team wins the World Series — or any championship for that matter — there are many means of celebration at one's disposal. Some take to the streets.
And some, inevitably, take to the sheets.
For those fans who got lucky the night the Giants won their first championship since relocating from New York to San Francisco, they have a chance to get even luckier. CSN Bay Area is sponsoring a search for the "World Championship Baby" and plans to award the title to the first infant born after 7:54 p.m. pacific time on August 1 — nine months to the day that the Giants won the 2010 World Series.
According to the contest website (which also includes a slideshow of all the expectant parents due on or around that date. CUTE):
If you think you've got a World Championship bun in the oven, let us know. Register by 7/31 for your chance to win an announcement in the paper, a secured brick at AT&T Park with your World Champion baby's name, a gift card for $2,010, and an official certificate signed by the Giants.
This child certainly won't be the first to have been conceived the night of an historic sporting event, but it will likely be the first to receive the awesome distinction of "World Championship Baby" — which we have to admit sounds a heck of a lot more legit than just plain "World Champion."
Though, if there's one infant we can't wait to become an Internet sensation, it's that of the Vancouver riot couple who, in an unprecedented post-Stanley Cup Finals display, actually managed to take their bedroom antics to the streets.
