Early Spring Training 2016 Fantasy Baseball Rankings
There will be a few updates as the 2016 Fantasy Baseball season approaches, but let me give you a quick word of warning.
Don't read too much in to Spring Training. I'll watch position battles, international arrivals and batters with new plate approaches (Joc Pederson, Jake Lamb, etc.). Overall though, Spring Training stats mean very little. If you noticed, I didn't even mention pitchers. Ones coming back from injury or a year removed will grab my interest, but often pitchers are trying out new pitches or approaches, which can skew the results. The same goes for hitters facing said pitchers or players with the quality level of Double-A baseball.
Again, there will be some changes to my 2016 Fantasy Baseball Rankings as new signings arise (just last night, "Orioles sign Pedro Alvarez" for example), but for the most part, we know and can feel confident in the talent level of Fantasy Baseball players.
I'll also drop some notes on any changes to the 2016 Fantasy Baseball rankings next week or as significant news happens.
