Even If You Liked Custom Jerseys There Is No Way You Could Approve Of This
Full Disclosure: We hate custom jerseys. We think they are an embarrassment to any sport, so we are immediately biased when seeing one. This one below may be one of the worst custom jerseys we have ever seen. Not to be dramatic, but the Miami Marlins and all of their fans probably should be ashamed that this jersey even exists.
The purpose of a jersey is to represent your favorite player. You are supporting the team and by wearing a replica of your favorite player's jersey, you are showing your support. Trying to be cheap and combining your two favorite players just doesn't work for us. This is even worse than the jerseys with custom names on the back.
This Ichiro-Stanton combination is just downright confusing. If you were to pass it on the street, your first reaction would be "whose jersey is that?" Your second reaction would be "wow that's horrible." Your third impression would be "what idiot would actually buy this?" The number 27-51 on the back also looks messy. There’s a reason that professional sports jerseys only go up to 99 and this is the best example we could ever find.
Really, there are 1,001 ways to rip this jersey apart. The idea was bad and the result was even worse. Is it the worst jersey sports has ever seen? The answer is an overwhelming yes. The only real question here is if that bright blue cowboy hat in the seat below should be burned with the jersey.
