Fan Knocks Over Fellow Fan’s Food In Pursuit Of Home Run Ball, Fellow Fan Not Thrilled
In recent days, we've seen just how far some fans will go to obtain a souvenir at a baseball game. We've seen young fans pout until they get what they want. We've seen grown women rip bats out of the hands of other grown women. And last night in San Francisco, we saw the danger of getting too wrapped up in collecting a home run ball: you might forget there are other people around...and that they might be carrying things.
Last night, when a home run ball fell back onto the field during a Giants-Brewers game in San Francisco, fans seated in the general vicinity of the tried to position themselves perfectly for the inevitable throwing of the ball back into the stands. These included two fans standing by the fence - one of whom had food (which he undoubtedly paid too much for) in his hands. Another fan didn't realize that guy was there. Something had to give. (Spoiler: it was the guy's tray of food.) It looked like the other guy offered up a jacket as an olive branch, but unless it could provide nourishment, we're afraid the offer fell short. Oh, and it didn't help that the ball wasn't thrown anywhere near either of them. Video below.
