Heartbreaking: Toddler Learns That His Favorite Baseball Player Has Been Traded
February 11 / Dan Fogarty / SportsGrid
Nothing is as perplexing to me as parents who tell their young children sad sports news, then film their reaction. For some reason, people enjoy telling their children that their favorite player is leaving, or making them go into a team's store (when they full well know that the child hates said team), then filming their little tirades and posting them on YouTube. What is wrong with these people?
Below, a (presumably smirking) parent tells her kid thatMichael Young, the extremely talented but disgruntled infielder for the Texas Rangers, is no longer on the team. Now, let's ignore the fact that it's messed up to exploit your child's sadness for YouTube views for a second. What's really messed up about this video is that Young hasn't even been traded. He's still on the Rangers, and will likely be on the Rangers for the entire 2011 season.
So, my question to you, Mom, is: Why?
Watch the video below. The exact moment your heart will break is at the 37 second mark.
