John Rocker Kindly Tells Female Survivor Contestant He’d ‘Knock Her Teeth Out’ If She Were A Man
Former Braves pitcher John Rocker threatened a fellow female “Survivor” contestant in Wednesday’s episode, saying, “If you were a man I'd knock your teeth out." Roger Goodell immediately signed him to a four-year deal, then suspended him for two games.
CBS knew exactly what they were doing when they added the controversial Rocker to the latest Survivor season. He became infamous for an interview he gave to Sports Illustrated in 1999, when he made some disparaging remarks about the city of New York, when he was asked if he would ever play for the Yankees or Mets.
”I'd retire first. It's the most hectic, nerve-racking city. Imagine having to take the 7 Train to the ballpark looking like you're riding through Beirut next to some kid with purple hair, next to some queer with AIDS, right next to some dude who just got out of jail for the fourth time, right next to some 20-year-old mom with four kids. It's depressing... The biggest thing I don't like about New York are the foreigners. You can walk an entire block in Times Square and not hear anybody speaking English. Asians and Koreans and Vietnamese and Indians and Russians and Spanish people and everything up there. How the hell did they get in this country?” – John Rocker
In Wednesday’s episode of Survivor, after threatening the chick from The Amazing Race, he went on to challenge the other team to an all-out fight.
Needless to say, he’ll join the pantheon of great/horrible reality show villains. The strange part of all this is how did it take so long for reality TV to come calling?
Rather than voting someone off the island, Rocker should tell them, "You're fucking out!"
