Jon Hamm Just Had To Go and Be THAT Guy
There's always one. You go to a game between, say, the Memphis Grizzlies and the Indiana Pacers, you can sure bet that there's some jamoke walking around in a LeBron James jersey. Ditto if you go to a Royals-Mariners game, surely there will be a schmuck wearing a Yankees hat there.
Jon Hamm was one of those people on Friday night during Game 3 of the World Series between the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians, and it's safe to say his choice of headwear made Cubs fans across the Windy City a bunch of...mad men.
Not only is Hamm, a fan of the team whose fans have self-branded themselves "The Best Fans in Baseball", wearing a St. Louis Cardinals hat despite the Cards not touching a baseball field since early October, he's wearing it in the style the Cards wore in 1908, which of course is the last year the Cubs have won the World Series, a fact the you surely did not know as it has never been brought up during these playoffs.
Needless to say, some fans weren't pleased by the unwelcome addition of red at Wrigley...
Of course, Cards fans were more than happy to stick up for their famous fan...
Overall, we gotta say we're pretty disappointed you'd be that guy Jon. I mean would it have killed you to wear an Indians hat for just one night? I mean, doing so may incur the wrath of Cardinals fans...but hey if you're making them mad you're doing something right I guess.
Oh, well. We still love you, celebrity Cardinals fans Billy Bob Thornton, Jenna Fischer and Karlie Kloss!
