Marlins And Reds Single-A Affiliates Fight In Huge Brawl
Often times when you go to a ballgame you know what to expect. You expect to see a couple homeruns, lots of strikeouts, and if your lucky, you'll see someone get tossed out the game. However, if you get to see the unexpected, then you should always cherish that moment.
Some fans that went to go see the Marlins vs. Reds Single-A affiliates play on July 20th. Little did they know they would be in for a treat. A huge brawl broke out during the ninth inning, and it was definitely a quality fight. Oh yeah, it was also campers day. So as a result, there were more fans in the stands than usual according to Slaterscoops.com.
Looked like the players decided to stop playing baseball for a few minutes and take part in a Royal Rumble instead. I understand why they would want to switch it up. If you're in Single A, it might be years until you make the big bucks. Most of them will never make the big bucks at all. So take out your frustration on the opponents and get some bragging rights in the meantime. And Geno Smith isn't on your team, so the there is no worries about hitting your own teammate.
I'm sure suspensions will be handed out. But honestly, who cares? Getting in a few rips on your opponent in Single A is totally worth it. I think that's called "team unity".
