MLB Delivers Mid-Summer Sports Fix With Night of Epic Gifs
It's the middle of July. The World Cup and the All-Star Game are over and NFL season has not yet begun. It's generally an all-around difficult time to be a sports fan, and being able to find amusement in the small things is key to making it by until things heat back up in August and September.
That's why the New York Mets, the Washington Nationals, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, a dude at a Phillies game and Graphics Interchange Format have teamed up to offer you, the dedicated sports fan, this embarrassingly entertaining succession of short form internet highlights from tonight.
We don't have to proud of our love for cheesy gifs...we just have to embrace it long enough to get to preseason football.
Sure the Mets are having a pretty good season all things considered, but there is something so comforting about getting a CLASSIC Mets moment every now and then. Thank you Daniel Murphy. We feel for you, but we needed that.
That might be the first time in history that a catch like that didn't end with a face full of scoreboard. Not even mad.
WHAT?! Let's replay this on loop for the next four three months until the World Series because literally nothing as awesome as that is going to happen from now until then.
That may look like a bunch of shots of the same home run, until you look at the scoreboard in the corner. That's actually the six home runs that the Angels scored against the Red Sox today. Yup, just today. Apparently a little rain delay every once in a while can really get a team going. That, and atrocious AL East pitching.
This guy gets it.
Ride or die for both baseball and beer? That's our kind of man. Cheers indeed!
